The Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemns the silence of the international community regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression against Yemen, which was manifested on Thursday evening, August 28, 2025, in missile strikes targeting residential neighborhoods in the capital, Sana’a, and various areas in Amran Governorate.
What Israel is committing in Yemen constitutes a blatant violation of all international humanitarian laws and the provisions of the Geneva Conventions, turning into outright contempt for the international community and the moral and humanitarian standards designed to protect civilians in armed conflicts.
The organization affirms that international silence in the face of these crimes amounts to complicity and encouragement for the Israeli entity to continue its violations—threatening the stability of the entire region and potentially dragging the world into a wider regional war.
From this standpoint, Insan urges the United Nations and all international institutions to take immediate action to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities, adopt all necessary measures to halt these crimes, protect civilians in Yemen and the Gaza Strip, and ensure accountability for those responsible.
The continued assaults on civilians represent a threat not only to Yemen but also to international peace and security. Insan emphasizes that justice and international oversight must serve as the first line of defense against such grave violations.
