The suffering of Palestinian female detainees in Israeli prisons continues, as disturbing testimonies describe alleged serious violations affecting the dignity and physical and psychological well-being of women held in detention. Palestinian lawyer Khaled Mahajneh relayed the testimony of a female detainee who was released from the Gaza Strip. According to her account, she was repeatedly raped over the course of one week by several Israeli prison guards.

According to the testimony conveyed by Mahajneh, the former detainee also stated that other female prisoners had been subjected to similar abuses during their detention.
